How to approach a new puzzle

Observe first, then make a deliberate move.

Look for the goal, the available moves and anything that changes after each turn. Try a small experiment before committing to a longer sequence.

If a move does not work, use the result as information. Breaking a puzzle into smaller steps often makes the next action easier to see.

Take a short break when you stop noticing new possibilities. Returning with fresh attention can reveal a pattern you missed.
